Moving X-rays

Jump to solution

We took x-rays for a patient and we were accidentally in another patient's chart.  Please send me instructions for moving the images to the correct chart.

Thanks.

Since I just had to do this.....but I mentioned a couple of trainers for their input -

Go into Imaging for the patient where the xrays are located.

Select the List tab

Highlight the xrays that need to be moved - can do shift and select the ones as a group, if they are in succession OR do Ctrl and select the ones needing to be moved

Send them to the Folder Location as desktop (that's what we do) and keep the File Format as Carestream files - Large format

Go to the patient where the xrays need to be and go into Imaging

Select Import Image File under the File tab

Select the xrays from Desktop

Voila....they should come in nicely.

When you are satisfied they are in the correct patient, return to the former patient.

Select Delete under the File tab.

Go back to List and select those images you no longer need in that patient.

MAKE SURE YOU ONLY SELECT THE XRAYS YOU DON'T NEED AS ONCE DELETED, THEY CANNOT BE RETRIEVED....THAT IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD.
