What date range variables are available for use with the Report Manager? How can the Report Manager create a report that will continually print the current date, the first date of the month, the last day of the month, include the previous date(s), or a date range?
Answer:
The report manager allows the creation of automated reports that can be run on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Furthermore, reports that have been automated can be set to run automatically without having to change the date each time.
Below is a list of Date Range Frequency wildcards that can be entered into the report setup date fields when in batch mode.
"MM/DD/YY": Enter this into the Date field in order to force the report to run for the current date.
"MM/01/YY": Enter this into the Date field in order to run the report for the first day of the current month.
"MM/99/YY": Enter this into a Date field to include data through the last day of the month
"MM/-1/YY": Enter this into the date field to include data from the previous day.
"MM/+1/YY": Enter this into the date field to include data for the following day.
"+1/01/YY" through "+1/99/YY": Use this in the date range fields to include information for the following month.
"-1/01/YY" through "-1/99/YY": Use this in the date range to include information for the previous month.
"-1/01/-1" through "-1/99/-1": Use this in the date range to include information from the previous year.
