I am an IT representative for an office in Alabama. In the past few weeks, Alabama pharmacies have been requiring the patient's date of birth be on narcotic prescriptions. As of now, it has the patient's age, but not DOB. I tried changing the office settings from Alabama to both Ohio and New Jersey, and while this did show the DOB, it changed the layout too much and removed some of the other information the office needed on the script. Could the dev team look into keeping the AL script how it currently is, but replacing the patient age with the DOB or adding the DOB somewhere on the script?
We've had same problem in Missouri. I can't calculate DOB from age but can calculate age from DOB. DOB should be on the Rx and not age. Carestream has not been interested in helping us with that and updating the Missouri Rx. Seems like an easy formatting fix to update the print layout of these things. we have resorted to hand writing the pt DOB on the Rx.
Also, In MO we need the pt physical and not mailing address on the Rx There is no place to have both and have the correct data on the Rx that I am aware of
Hello, I looked through multiple states and Illinois has everything that Alabama's has except the line for Refill's. Not sure if that would be a deal breaker but it could work for a short term fix.
