API for WinOMS?

Imcisor is a boutique consulting firm specializing in Business Intelligence and providing customized service to dental specialists. One of our customers uses WinOMS and would like for us to be able to automatically capture the necessary data on WinOMS via an API. How can a third party have access to such API?

Re: API for WinOMS?

Can each practice have access to their own data via an API?  If not that, can a "read-only" user be created?

Re: API for WinOMS?

larochewilliams -- At this time there is no API available for WinOMS.  If you send me an email with your contact information I can forward it to the team that would discuss this with you further.

ccronin‌ -- Unfortunately there is no API, and at this time there is not an available read-only user that has direct access to the database. However you have the ability to use the Data Export feature in the software to create some of your own reports, if that is what you are looking for.

Hi Caroline. Have you looked into the Practice Pilot from OMS3?

Yes, we no longer use it as it does not meet our needs.

Hi Michael,

We do not offer an API at this time.  I am sorry.

Re: API for WinOMS?

What we are finding is that what is currently available on the market does not meet the needs of busy practices. Very few practices have a dedicated business manager who has the time to perform a lot of business intelligence tasks. What we do is a full service at a fraction of the course of a full time business manager, looking at trends, measuring marketing, education activities, providing guidance and coaching.
