Ability to redock a dock note

Once you've opened a dock note, it loses its ability to be redocked.  We should be able to open it and redock it based on the fact the note type is a dock note.

Its not the greatest answer, but I will just redock pt to myself saying "see contact note 6/18/18" if I happen to undock before I have finished with it. Im hoping the update with docked pts is a good one.

I'm not talking about while it is still docked to you.  I'm talking about once you've already opened it and it's no longer in your docks.  You should be able to redock it instead of it now just being a regular contact note.

Correct, once the note is removed from the dock you cannot re dock it. I understand your request - its saved as a contact note, possibly a button to redock a selected note.  All good suggestions for the PLM to consider. Thank you for your suggestions!  matt.ackermanqadanielle

We have this same issue. There have been discussions that a new docking system is in the works, so it would be great to add the ability to choose a pre-existing note to have as the dock note when you re-dock an open pt.

paula1‌ and matt.ackerman‌ You may have some of this on your list already, but please see the suggestions above.

Hi cromfs‌! Thank you for posting!

paula1‌ replied but it did not come through so I am reposting it.

You are able to redock a note using the Click to View a Dock Note icon, hit OK or Cancel and the note stays docked. Click the patients name, and the tool tip reads "click to restore patient", it removes the note from the dock but the note can be viewed in the contact notes.

paula1matt.ackerman‌ tagging you if you have anything else to add.
