Appointment not showing

We made an appt for a patient for 11/5/19 at 2:15 p.m. and immediately changed it to 11/6/19 at 2:15 p.m. per the patient's request.  When we went back to delete the appointment on 11/5, it wasn't on the schedule.  It was on the patient's appt history but not on the actual schedule.  This has happened to us twice in the last few months and another office told me the same thing has happened to them.  Can anyone tell me what's going on? I have the account info for this last example if it needs to be looked at.

We are having the same issue. They are like ghost appointments. You schedule the appointment and hit ok. It's there and then if you go into the patient's account it shows up there also but if you go back into the scheduler it doesn't show. Sometimes if you "print" the schedule it will show but not always. This has happened a few times to us here and there but it causes a problem because when someone else is scheduling they cannot see it so we could end up with double booked appointments that are not supposed to be double booked. Also if you don't print the schedule, the front desk cannot see the appointment in the system when getting charts ready and they are stunned when the patient walks in because they weren't "showing" on the schedule. I'm hoping Carestream is looking into this issue ASAP. Thanks for sharing.

Did you copy and paste the appointment from 11/5 to 11/6?

If so the 11/5 date should not be there on the scheduler , or did you make a whole new appointment?

Unfortunately, it can't be intentionally re-created. Info I have seen tells me others have had this problem, as well, and that Carestream knows about it. It happens randomly.

I am curious if the appointment is appearing within the patients HISTORY of appointments.  Reason I ask is to determine if the original appointment is making it to the database on the server?

Hey! Original appointment appears on the patients schedule history but not on the actual schedule.

We didn't copy and paste. The appt was made and ok clicked, but it didn't show on the scheduler. When questioning that, the patient decided to change to the 6th, which we did the same way and it showed correctly. However, the appt on the 5th shows in the history but never "landed" on the scheduler. I understand this is a known problem.
