Daily Bank Deposit Report

When you have to make a change to a payment from a previous days posting is there anyway for it not to show on the bank deposit report on the day you made the change? For example: If you post an insurance payment on Dec.1st and then realize on Dec.2nd that it should have been a patient payment so on the patients ledger you delete the insurance payment and post in the ledger as a patient payment and change the ledger date to Dec 1st it still shows up on the Dec 2nd bank deposit report.

Instead of deleting the incorrect payment type, Edit that transaction to the correct code, make sure the amount is still showing.

You can not edit a payment only a charge amount.

There is not. Unfortunately, payments posted show up real time. While you can alter the date in the ledger, the day you post the payment, will be the day it shows up on the deposit slip.

We try to make sure that nothing gets deleted after the month ends because it can affect the financial reports. If something was posted incorrectly or to the wrong account we use a misc credit and misc debt to correct it. At all costs we try not use these codes but when there are no other options we use them.
