I had ticket 7874381 opened for this issue and was asked to pose this question here for official statement.
We are looking to establish a connection from our SQL analytics database to WinOMS for the purpose of extracting data that will be used for operational business intelligence initiatives. In order to do this, we would like to use SSIS with an OLEDB or ODBC connection to read data directly from WinOMS. In order to do this, we would need a service account created with read-only access to the database. This account would be set up in such a way to never expire and with a password that does not expire. Individual-level accounts are not necessary. This account only needs access to WinOMS, it does not need to access the OMS (imaging) database. Please let me know how we can configure this to read the mdsdb.db database.
