Is there a way to be able to just enter multiple medications/allergies etc without having to click save after each one. Example enter a med or allergy and push enter, and then save at the end? IT would save a lot of time when patients with extensive health histories.
Also, Is there a way to correct spelling errors with a back space without losing the whole item that is being typed. Example if I type Tylenel vs Tylenol, and hit backspace, as soon as I type the correct spelling, you have to start all over.

Medications, Allergies, Patient Medical History, and Patient Surgical History must all be entered one at a time. There is not currently any method in CS WinOMS which allows the user to add multiple items and then "save them" into the patients chart afterwards.
These items also use a "Smart Text Box" which doesn't utilize the backspace button as a normal text box would. The "Smart Text Box" is meant to only have the first letter or two of a medication (or allergy, surgical history item, or medical history item) typed and it will immediately populate the text box with the closest matched item in the CS WinOMS database. Once the desired item is populated in the text box, the enter key can be clicked to add the item to the patients chart.
I understand this, but as part of the clinical team, we are entering upwards of 20-30 medications, and or allergies, etc. It would be a total time saver to be able to backspace when mistyping without having to start all over. Also, having to move your mouse to the save button vs hitting tab or enter really slows us down as well. It is very easy to go back and fix mistakes once everything is entered.
I understand your frustration regarding the save button on the right of the screen and the search on the left of the screen, so my solution is to do the following:
1. Click on the plus sign on the right then KEEP YOUR CURSOR on the right of your screen.
2. Type on the keyboard (the first two or three letters of the medication) which should take you to the medication.
3. Take your mouse and click on the save button.
Some offices don't let go of their mouse at all and use their left hand to type a few letters. You do not have to tab or click on the medication name as long as your search highlights the medication you want to add.
Another solution would be to utilize the TRUFORMS integration which has multiple benefits, inclusive of correct spelling of medications, seamless ability to move the allergies from patient registration into the patient electronic chart within Win OMS.
