Gender Identity

We are updating our "paperwork" to collect gender identity and sex assigned at birth using CDC recommended questions.  https://www.cdc.gov/hiv/clinicians/transforming-health/health-care-providers/collecting-sexual-orien...

Is there anything on the horizon to allow this information be be entered in WinOMS demographics?

Checking in again to find out if additional gender identity and pronoun choices are in the works for WinOMS CS.  I was thinking about it more yesterday and in addition to gender identity and pronoun choices, ADDING A FIELD called sex assigned at birth, would also be helpful.  🙂

Hello,

Currently there are a couple of WinOMS Demographic reports that track gender under Reports>Patient>Patient Demographic and Reports>Data Export>Patient Demographics. The Sex must be identified in the Patient Data Entry screen as Male, Female or Unspecified in order to track gender in either report. The first screenshot below is the Patient Data Entry screen and the last screenshot shows where reports can be accessed under the new Reports Layout:

Please contact WinOMS Support if assistance is needed to access either of these Reports.
