We are in Alabama and Palmetto has taken over Medicare processing for this area. When the change over occurred, Palmetto failed to list one of our physicians as an MD. Listed him only as a DDS which of course means we don't get paid for what we are doing for Medicare patients. We have talked with Medicare and have been basically told to appeal every claim and someone "should" correct that error when our claims are reconsidered. They say the problem is in Provider Enrollment and that we can't contact them. Have to wait on the problem to make it's way to the top. I'm not very confident of that. Can anyone suggest a contact/area that we can reach out to for update/correction? Thanks for any input.
