The new WinOMS v 9.0 has some great changes! Just wondering if there is a setting that needs to be changed so that when a patient's chart is opened it doesn't have to be full screen? It's very cumbersome for billing/accounting purposes to not be able to minimize the patient chart to a smaller size within the WinOMS screen. I often need to have more than one program open at a time, simultaneously, and it's really difficult to do that when the patient chart doesn't minimize at all--no scroll bars or anything.
You'll be glad to know that we have defined and prioritized work that will add the functionality you're asking for. The changes will enable users to resize the workspace and the current plan is that those changes are to be made part of the next release. Great question and we're glad you're happy with the other parts of the 9.0 release.
If you would like to have multiple windows open within Win OMS without having to minimize the current window you can do so but simply opening a new window. If you would like to return to an open window click on the WINDOWS option on the main menu and a list of currently open files will appear allowing you to click on the file you want to return to.
Thank you so much for this focus! It has been enormously cumbersome. With 100 active computers running WinOMS in the practice, there are numerous monitor models with varying resolution options and screen sizes. Almost all of our non-clinical computers are not widescreen; they are nearly square. We can gravitate toward widescreen monitors in the future, but have no immediate need or intention to replace these.
