No 'timeout' function in Anesthesia Log

When a doctor is talking about a 'timeout', he/she means the documentation confirming this is the right patient, and we are doing the right procedure, and we know their height, weight, BMI, and drug allergies.  This should be the first tab in the anesthesia log.  Instead, we created our own EMR consent form and used the merge fields.  This is a super basic expectation and as every provider does this, and you already have all of the info in order to merge this into the anesthesia log.  Was talking to a brand new user who has been doing paper charts that's a doctor with 30 years experience.  He's beyond upset that this isn't basic functionality and when he talked to a rep, they had no clue what he was talking about and just kept talking about hitting the stop button on the anesthesia log when the doctor leaves the room.

Re: No 'timeout' function in Anesthesia Log

In the anesthesia record the third tab under the universal protocol has the  "Time out" you are referring to. The way its set is right before the "surgery vitals" tab which would be before the surgery is started, not sure why its there over the 1st or 2nd tab.

The timeout the rep you spoke to was referring to is located in the "Surgery vitals" which would be if you needed to take a break during the surgery which would create a log with a pause and time.

It just says timeout complete, it doesn't actually do a timeout.  This is what a timeout should look like:
