ePrescription notification to doctors

We are beginning to implement the ePrescription process in our office. The doctors are asking if they can be notified that a controlled substance was prescribed? Or do the assistants just need to remind them that there is a controlled substance that needs to be issued for each patient? I'm just trying to make it as easy as possible!

Re: ePrescription notification to doctors

Hi @bbuttler, thanks for working to make this transition as easy as possible for your office.  Unfortunately I don't know of a way to alert or notify the doctor that a controlled substance has been prescribed and/or is awaiting authorization.  Setting a personal reminder to login at a specified time (for example twice a day, at lunch and before leaving for the day) has helped other providers to jump in and review the day's prescriptions as well as authorize any pending meds.

Hope this helps!
