For v 9.0 the age has not been added. I will gladly forward the request to the proper people (they also look this) Keep asking for this !!
This is really disappointing--it should already have been added years ago for the current EMR--it does not make
any sense not to have a Merge field for this--it seems so easy to do since there are merge fields for so many things!
You were our trainer for the WinOMS EMR. I really find it disappointing. There are so many missing things in it. Age, Height, Weight, all vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respirations and temperature which most OMS perform on every new consult, Past Surgical History, Past Dental History, Family History, Social History, Airway Classification and other merge fields that could be added to make it work more like a hospital type EMR. I have to add this stuff to all my consults and it takes forever to complete a note. Physicians use their EMR's and are done right when you are sitting in the room, but you can't do this with the Win OMS EMR!!!! They could have bought someone's EMR and added it into the software alot easier, rather than developing this EMR. Check boxes could have been added, also, for clinical findings and radiographic findings. I am so upset that I invested money in this poorly designed EMR! The anesthesia EMR also crashes when you try and look at a CBCT, radiographs and take photos on an implant case! Also, my Pearl App doesn't work and carestream can't fix it!! Or make it work for the past year!!! This EMR is not compatible with my Dragon Voice dictation software either!! Very frustrating!!! In addition, the whole program still crashes if you go to close to a merge field in your document!! What are they doing over there, sleeping? They need to look at some of the other EMR systems out there and give us one they can be proud of and not this garbage!!!!
I really don't think anyone at Carestream cares what practicing OMS's have to say about their software and the problems with their EMR. I have made multiple calls to Gary Salman about the problems I noted above. He wanted to talk to me and I have tried to contact him many times without success. He did call me twice, but we still have yet to speak after more than a month. What does this show you about their customer service???? More problems when you try and cut and paste information from a previous note. The Font changes on it's own!! I can only hope that the update solves some of these problems. Still upset that they cannot make my Pearl App work properly and I use one of the IT people they recommend for their system!! So frustrating!!
