Copying treatment plans to other patients

We can create a copy of a treatment plan within the same patient, but it would be nice to copy and paste to other patients.

sure.  it's interesting!  How often do you propose the exact same treatment to different patients?

Implants tend to be standard along with 3rds.  Sometimes the more complex orthognathic cases it's nice to start with a prior patient's treatment plan then tweak.

Re: Copying treatment plans to other patients

We use the Point of Care Shortcuts feature to achieve this.

I'm curious what is the functional advantage to copying/pasting a treatment plan from one patient to another over what shortcuts already provides? Is it just a matter of whether the treatment plan is being entered in the front office vs. consult room?

Re: Copying treatment plans to other patients

We don't use Point of Care.  There don't seem to be 'shortcuts' for this outside of POC unless I'm missing something.  As a solo doc practice POC is not really reasonable to use.

You may consider using an explosion code.    We use Explosion codes for implant tx,Orthopedic, Perio as well hyg visits.   It makes life a lot easier.   In the event you do not need all codes simply

rrmive them in Tx plan or Ledger.

I'm not familiar with "Explosion Code"- is that an industry term, or just unique to SoftDent?

"Explosion Codes" = "Shortcuts" in WinOMS.
