We will start working on this project during Q4 and will be looking for some testers as soon as we are done. Please let me know if you are interested!
(staceyw and cromfs, i'm looking at you!)
I just had a patient do a chargeback and even though I have their signature on the credit card receipt, Transfirst is still allowing it because there's no EMV chip reader. This seems highly unfair since we don't have the option to have a chip reader yet.
I want to be sure that lontaylor sees this, and that while chargebacks are extremely infrequent in the healthcare sector, I hate to hear that they are affecting you at all.
We did have a revision to the design approach that we were using to deliver this functionality, and that means delays (*sigh*). I think that we will make some progress during the first half of this year, but I don't have a new date yet. It could be slightly comforting that WinOMS will be the first Carestream product to get the EMV capable readers, once they are ready for us.
