YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS to this! There is a reason "a picture is worth a thousand words."
I was working this morning on a request from my doctor to convert a paper Neurosensory template into an EMR note template that, frankly, becomes more complicated and cumbersome when I have to convert "circle the pain site/best option" pictures and tables... into a strictly verbal representation. It loses clarity and brevity, and is now FAR less user-friendly. Not to mention, it is harder for the patient and referring doctors to understand than this old-fashioned paper copy, if and when they request the patient records.
Even if it would allow for a PDF or image to be in the background, that the doctor could then circle or mark, that would streamline a LOT of our EMR notes.
