Is there anyway to e-mail a receipt for a patient w/out going to print preview and saving to desk top then attaching it to an e-mail?
At this time, that may be the best way. You can add the receipt to the
documents tree and use Softdent's email option to access the document's
tree and forward the email attachment to Outlook (considering that Outlook
is the default email client). With attempting this process, you will
still go through the same steps of saving to the desktop in PDF format
before uploading to the patient's documents tree. Overall, this will give
you a longer process that your current one.

Set up a pdf printer
In Softdent go to System Change System Settings Printers and WP make sure the check box is enabled to choose printers, when you generate the receipt, select the pdf printer, when the pdf comes up you will have a choice to email it. Plug in the email address and you should be good to go.
This is why I love the exchange! Thanks for sharing this.
I like this idea but will the email go protected?? We have never emailed that way. We usually send to Desktop as pdf and then attach it in an Outlook email so it can go protected.
