Randomly we run a credit card and the payment goes through and shows on the settlement but doesn't post. Therefore we have to manually post it as an electronic payment. example patient ID 10204

Carestream coached us through the work-around so that we can still post as a credit card payment, but it takes a lot of steps. @Tiffany Shaw posted the work-around here: https://community.carestreamdental.com/docs/DOC-1736-winoms-credit-card-transaction-not-appearing-on-the-patient-ledger
If this is something that can be improved upon to not happen at all, that would obviously be much better. It may not happen daily, but it does happen to us multiple times each week. To me, that merits a permanent fix.

Generally, we have found that this issue occurs when someone clicks the red "X" in the top right corner of the credit card processing window instead of finalizing the payment with the buttons located at the bottom of the window. This causes the payment to not finish posting to the ledger, even though it has already processed through the credit card processing software. I would try to see if you can pay extra attention to the buttons that are getting clicked at the end of the credit card process and see if that mitigates the issue you are experiencing.
We never hit the X button. We always hit submit and ok til completed.

Nobody in our office is hitting the "X", either. I watched several of our receptionists go through the process, and there is no cause to hit "X" if you are processing the transaction properly. After scanning the card, they hit Submit > OK > OK, and then the WinOMS Payment/Adjustment Entry window resumes (Next > Finish).
I do not feel this issue should be marked as "Assumed Answered" or resolved.
I'm tagging mczar for his assistance with this and due to his group's expertise with WinOMS ePayments.
Just a follow-up: we have updated to v18.104.22.168, and these glitches continue to be as frequent as in v8.11.
