As many PracticeWorks users know, changing printers requires a series of unconventional steps. This is due to the configuration and storage of printer settings. On the surface this is great; set it and forget it. After all, if you're printing documents to the same printer with the same settings day after day, why slow down your workflow?
But sometimes we need choices. Maybe the printer jammed, or was replaced. Maybe you want to print on stationary in a different tray, or save a report in PDF format.
Version 8 of PracticeWorks introduces a new and improved workflow that lets you do all of those things with ease.
After making your report criteria selection and clicking OK you will now see this:
From here you can:
- Print to the selected printer.
- Preview the print job.
- Choose another printer.
- Save print changes you've made.
- View and select Advanced printer options.
Selecting Advanced provides you with all the print options formerly reserved for the Document Configuration, or green screen.
Sometimes the old way of "setting and forgetting" works best. That's why we included a new Advanced option, "Display this screen when printing". When unchecked, PracticeWorks will not display any print options. Front desk personnel may find this useful for ADA forms and walk-out statements.
