We are having trouble with our camera ever since we installed the CS3600. When we take a photo of the patient for the chart it look like it is 3D and splits it into 3 photos. Is anyone else having this trouble?
We are currently investigating this issue with capturing patient portraits using some webcams and intraoral cameras. The issue is causing the image to save looking like this example I have below.
There is no fix for this currently, but there are a couple work around options as capturing images within the Charting Module and imaging software are unaffected by this issue in most cases.
First option: launch the patient's Charting Module from the patient clipboard or by right clicking on an appointment and selecting Charting Module and go to the capture tab.
-- Start capture mode by clicking Yes when the Start capturing now? message is displayed.
-- Click Capture. The cursor changes to a cross, and the message Press ESC to stop indicates you are in capture mode.
-- When your screen displays an image you want to acquire, click the mouse button. The image is displayed.
-- To re-capture an image, right-click the image to discard it. You are returned to the live view, and you can continue capturing.
-- To save an image, click again. The image is displayed as a thumbnail in the list on the right side of the screen.
-- Once you have captured the patient portrait press the ESC key which will take you to the "Attach(ed) img" tab of the Charting Module.
-- From here Left click on and drag the image from the lower left to the upper right to the Patient Portrait area.
Second option: capture the image within your imaging software and then return to the patient's Charting Module and repeat steps on the "Attach(ed) img" tab.

We spoke with our IT team regarding the camera issue, he seems to think that the Carestream programming team will need to look into this issue?? Can you help expedite this?
Your IT team is correct and our Development team is already aware and involved with this issue.
just checking to see if this problem has been resolved???
I know it's on the priority list for Development, but unfortunately, there is currently no release date on a fix.
I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I realize it's an inconvenience to your workflow. Thank you for being patient.
We have this on the list to review in the upcoming development cycle. I will know more about a timeline for a fix after the review.
