Changing Location Getting Stuck

My office likes to keep the schedule organized and change the location when the patient is in the operatory so everyone knows where the patient is at a glance. But something keeps happening often, usually with one appointment a day, but when we go to change the location back at check out, the appointment gets stuck. We're able to check the patient out but we are unable to mark the patient as complete or get the location un stuck. Right now we have a 5 hour timer going on one of our patients that left about 4.5 hours ago. Exiting out and restarting doesn't resolve the issue, but tomorrow when the appointments have cleared, it will be gone, but the statistics will show the 5+ hour appointment time. Anyone have any tips or tricks that work?

Well, My understanding is if a "checked out appointment remains in the green or in operatory state with timer still timing" this may happen if...

the "Change Location" state was applied to the appointment and then the appointment was checked out without changing the location back to its original state.

To ensure this does not occur in the future make sure to use the "Change Location" feature to change the patient back in to the front office.

  1. While in the scheduler, right-click the appointment.
  2. Select Change Location. The appointment state will return to the "Checked In" color

Completely unsure if this is what is happening - but worth a try.

Nope, this isn't it! It is some sort of bug that keeps happening without our error. We have completely closed out of the patient chart in the back, changed location, checked out, and then the location will be back on sometime after checking out the patient.

Hi @gambillmm

I spoke with support on this and it was suggested that you contact support so that the Scheduler utilities can be run, as this tends to resolve this issue.
