WinOMS: Software Running Slow after an update

Issue:

After updating WinOMS CS, software and processing time is running slower.

This applies to all versions of WinOMS CS Practice Management Software and

can be caused by a large number of claims being in the insurance processing queue.

  1. Click Billing.
  2. Click Insurance Processing.
  3. Click Queue.
  4. Verify the number of claims in the queue. If there is a large number of claims in the queue, clear out the list.  Clearing out the paper queue can be done manually if there are not so many. However, if excessive, please contact Support at 1800 275 4637 to clear out the Insurance queue.
  5. Next, Click Billing.
  6. Click Insurance Processing.
  7. Click Create Electronic Claims Batch.
  8. Verify the number of claims in the queue. If there is a large number of claims in the queue, clear out the list (see page referenced above).

 

NOTE: There are other possible causes for the software to run slower after an update.  In the event the above steps do not work or are applicable, please contact Support at 1 800 275 4637 for further troubleshooting of this issue.
