Aligner Tracking

We sometimes begin invisalign treatment with lower aligners and an upper appliance prior to beginning the upper aligners.  Is there a way where we can enter that we delivered 0 upper aligners and x number of lower aligners in the aligner tracking tab?  I noticed that the minimum number is 1.

Thanks for providing this idea to the message board.    I wish to learn more about this particular clinical case.    Could you help me understand the reasoning behind taking this particular treatment approach?   And how far along with the lower trays do you typically initiate the upper tray?

On a similar note, how many trays do you all provide to patients on average?  Currently, the Universal Aligner Tracking feature tracks up to 40 trays.

This helps us to better understand how the updated design should be for a future release of the software.

Our issue would be that we frequently have more than 40 sets of aligners per patient.

@uriyahrobinson   asked how many sets of aligners might be needed, so the question applies to your practice as well.  Can you give us some specifics beyond just "more than 40"?  Does your office typically need 60? 80? 170?  🙂

Ever since our doctor changed to a one week protocol we have noticed that we have many patients with more than 60 aligners and have a couple with 80+. We have one patient that has 92 aligners in her initial series.

@sundberg101 @htrohatos To follow up with the previous message, we are currently developing an update that allows users to select up to 80 trays in our upcoming version.   We are only accepting a select few of practices to come onboard for our beta group.   We would like to extend an opportunity for your practices to come onboard.   Would this be of interest to your practice?

We would be interested.  Just one question.  We had a concern that we couldn't deliver just lower aligners with upper appliances and begin the upper aligners once the appliance phase was finished.  Would this also be part of the beta program?

Hi @uriyahrobinson!  At my onsite training two weeks ago, there was a patient with 120 trays.  We definitely need to at least triple the current allotted amount of 40.  Thanks!  🙂
