Time Clock Reoprts

Jump to solution

Is there a way to print a report that includes all days in the requested time period.  This would include showing the days worked as it shows now and not worked as 0 time but in the same format.  We would like to export this information to be used on an excel sheet so the format has to be consistent for every day in the time period.

Good day Shelia ( @shelia ),

To print a Time Clock Report for a date range, you can follow the below steps:

  1. Click Functions>Timeclock> Reports from the main menu of OrthoTrac. The Timeclock Reports window is displayed.
  2. In the Report Options section, select the appropriate option for By Staff or By Date.
  3. Click the Page Break on new Staff check-box to print the report on separate pages after each staff member or after each new date.
  4. Select Totals Only or Detail.
  5. In the Date Range section, select the time period for the report by clicking the calendar icons after the From and To fields and selecting dates from the calendar window.  If By Staff is selected, the Number of working days this period: field is populated by default, based on the From and To dates selected.
  6. In the Select Staff field, use the drop-down list to run the report for a specific staff member or all staff members. (This step is optional.)
  7. Click OK.
  8.  Select a printer from the printer list.  If you wish to export to a CSV file, select "Export Contents" then choose a location and filename.
  9.  Click OK to print (or export to a file) the report.

NOTE:  The report lists Totals in both hourly and fractional values.  The first Total value gives the total of the time for a day or a week in hourly mode.  For example, 7:45 translates into 7 hours and 45 minutes.  This is used to designate the hours and minutes worked.  The second Total value gives the total time for a day or week in a fractional value.  For example, 7.75 translates into 7 hours and 75 hundredths of an hour.  This value is most commonly used to calculate pay percentages. The same value calculations correspond on the Total Overtime column.

The Time Clock report is hard coded so it cannot be modified beyond the options that are available when running the report.
