Printing Clinical Notes

Jump to solution

Our experience with printing clinical notes does not allow all of the note to print. Rather the margin setting within @PracticeWorks cannot be reset for the printer. This happens whether it is for plain paper or for transcription labels.

Any suggestions on how to print the entire note without copying and pasting. That is too time consuming and we should not have to resort to that.

You did not mention if you have gone into PracticeWorks configuration of charting module?

Start> All programs ( or windows key)> CS PracticeWorks> Configuration of Charting module.

Go to Documents > Patient Charting or Transcription labels

Adjust registration. I would assume go negative if it's cutting off. Going postive will increase. You also reduce the font size .

Another thought is use PDF writer and then print to paper.

Change the printer to a PDF writer type ( these are what I have) but you may also see adobe pdf writer if you have it installed.

You will need to choose were to save it on your computer.

Some workarounds until more chime in.

I did check out the suggestion and with a few minor changes in the settings, hopefully the entire note will print. It must be Transcription Labels rather than Plain Paper.. Additional changes to the print settings were made; final setting is -60.  Further than that, the date is cut off. Thank you - it was driving me crazy because the notes looked incomplete or words could be perceived as not completely spelled out. Many thanks!
