Great idea! I've been trying to come up with different solutions to this issue. At this time, I typically have some meds entered twice in the list--one in all caps and one in lower case letters. Medications in all caps are medications that a patient is allergic to or cannot take. The one in all caps is also followed by the word ALLERGY; however, this is taking up a lot of space on the chart, especially when a patient is taking multiple meds and has multiple allergies. I've been trying to develop different solutions that are easy to use by all staff members.
Thank you so much, Jean! Great idea!
