In the tx plan and in the checkout screen, there is a button where we can view primary (or secondary) details to give us a clue where the estimate is coming from. How do I find this information after the fact? (two days after the patient's appt)
I could REALLY use some help on this. I just had another patient yesterday whose acct shows $0 est for her claim but that is not what I am being told it showed at check out.
There is no way to click on Prim details after the patient has been checked out. But if you need to check out how its estimating. You can create a treatment plan for the same code temporarily, you can then see how its estimating by selecting Primary Details. You can delete the treatment plan you created for test purposes. @jfdias68 what if you sent the claim, received and posted the payment, updated the code specific details and what insurance paid is WAY off what was estimated? How does one go back to see where the original number pulled from so that we can explain to the patient and hopefully prevent this from happening in the future? There nothing worse than telling your patient "I have no idea where that number came from or why it was so far off". The case I'm dealing with right now, I can't even say that it was estimating 50% of our fee......
