E-signature and NHS PR forms

Hi

Can Carestream let us know if the NHS PR form can be linked to the NHS course of treatment and then if we can generate a report in R4 to check and make sure that all courses of treatment have a NHS form signed.

The worry with signing these electronically is that a team member forgets and we have no way of generating a report that would show this currently.

The best solution would be if R4 would its self generate a warning informing you that a form was not signed for an open accepted course of treatment.

Re: E-signature and NHS PR forms

Hi Samir,

Unfortunately there is no way to link the PR form to a specific course of treatment in CS R4+, nor is it possible to create any reports based upon documents signed or generated within CS R4+.

Although the PR form should be signed prior to a course of treatment starting, as it the patient's consent to be examined, it is possible to sign it after a course of treatment has started.  One suggestion is that it can be checked when the patient is in the surgery by looking on the Comms tab and if one has not been signed then there is an 'PR form required for patient' option on the Left Surgery prompt that the clinician can select.  When the receptionist then checks the patient out, there is a 'Print PR Form' button which they can click to display the PR form on the signature pad.

Regards Stephen
