When making a new patient their dental recalls are not automatically enabled.
When adding a mobile number the option to enable SMS messaging is not automatically enabled.
Can this be changed to ensure patients get their recalls and SMS reminders?

I have run through the process of adding a new patient to my test system here and the dental recall is enabled by default but I am unable to find a setting that triggers this. The only thing I can think of is your recall settings. If you go to Planner > View > Recall Settings are you able to confirm how they are setup please?
In regards to the SMS, the tick box isnt automatic as it's a question on whether they want to receive them or not. Some patients may give you their mobile number to contact but not want to receive the SMS which is why its a manual tick after they agree to it. Once the enable SMS option is ticked you'll need to go into the comms section and set the preferred type to SMS if they wish that to me there main method of contact.

Thanks for your speedy reply Matt. On review, I misread the option "do not dental recall patient for dental" as the opposite so I believe you are indeed correct.
With regards to SMS. Are you able to please generate a script that turns this on for everyone with a mobile number? I know this is a blunt approach, but we are just starting to use SMS reminders and recalls so it will be appropriate for us now.

In regards to the SMS we have that script already. If you contact the support team on 0330 094 8194 we will be able to remote onto your server PC and run the script to tick the box enable SMS and make SMS the preferred method of communication (if they have a mobile number) for you.
