Ortho

Hi

We are based in Scotland and was wondering if we are able to put on an ortho exam, we do not do the treatment that are referred to an Orthodontist for this but we would like to put a code on to show this has been done.

We would normally put this through as paper form but we are not allowed now due to the covid situation

This is mainly for children

Is this possible ??

Thanks

Re: Ortho

Hi Emma,

Thanks for getting in touch.

Could you just clarify the code you would like to claim please?

It is my understanding, that paper claims for ortho have not been processed by paper since the introduction of eOrtho, about a year ago.

In order to submit any  ortho claim to PSD, an ortho assessment must be carried out  along with a claim for the exam i.e. code 121.

Kind regards

Kirsty

Re: Ortho

Hi Kirsty
We are not sure what the code would be, we know to claim a normal exam for a child but we wanted to know if there is another code we could claim for the Ortho exam with there being no paper forms.
If this makes sense

Thanks Emma

Re: Ortho

Hi Emma,

As far as I'm aware it would only be normal child exam that you could claim.

Maybe give PSD a quick call, they will be able to let you know if you are able to claim any additional codes.

Kind regards

Kirsty
