Updating to v8

We are about to take the plunge and update to V8. At the moment we use a well known 3rd party to provide our text messaging service, however I understand that this will no longer be supported within the new version. The work around is too complicated and so, with regret, we are forced to change to the carestream service. What do I need to do to set this up, and what are the costs etc?
