charting a failed Implant in Softdent

How do you remove the implant icon without removing the transaction from the past.   The implant has failed and we wish to remove the implant icon from the charting screen.

May I ask what version of SoftDent you are using? In newer versions, you can open up the transaction for the implant in the patient's ledger and check this box:

Would this be considered an "edit" to the transaction?  Would be a problem if users didn't have the rights to edit previous days transactions.

Yes it would. If a logged-in SoftDent user does not have the rights to modify transactions, then they will not be able to get to the screen I showed that allows a user to check that box. If any user finds themselves needing to check this box for a specific transaction, but cannot edit the transaction...the admin (or any other user with those rights) will have to perform this step.

This may not fix the issue.,  BUT it would be really great if the "removal of dental implant " code, removed the implant icon from the chart.  Similar to the way Extraction codes removed the tooth extracted.

what if the implant was put in as a note from an oral surgeon and we did not do the work?

That's a more interesting scenario...

I tested this, and currently I don't see a way to remove a chart graphic from "outside" work without actually removing the outside work altogether. If the work is "inside" work, then it can be removed from their chart without deleting the transaction.

In future updates,  it would be EXTREMELY helpful if SD could allow for codes  D6100 ( Implant removal-Surgical) and  D6105- Implant Removal - NON-Surgical to remove the implant image from the chart.
