I cannot speak of the response you received stating that " it only worked once the vitals monitor started", though I can confirm that the instructions Stuart provided above is the solution. Once these 2 areas have been activated in the Anesthesia Customization area, then they will be available to utilize at any time. They will no longer be "greyed out" and you can place checkmarks (or type) into these sections.
Yes-it did work. However, your customer service level 1 folks could use some training since this is a basic and easy fix. It doesn't make sense to be told that the vitals have to have been started on something that's on the preop tab. So my feedback is to get them trained.
