Scanning X-rays???

When we have patients that show up with a xray.....like a film......what scanner are you using to scan them to the patient's chart?  We bought the recommended scanner Kodak ScanMatei1150 and have not been able to use it like we were hoping to.

We use the Epson 1680 scanner with the transparency adaptor.  We scan film and paper x-rays.  Most of the issues that we had in the beginning were due to the settings.  You need to make sure that you use the correct mode, professional etc.  We have had this scanner for 14 years and no issues.

We also use the Epson 1680 scanner.  Not sure you can find them anymore though.  We bought a few of the epson v700 scanners and don't like them as well as 1680.  Some xrays we have to scan several times because scanner tries to scan as paper even though our settings say its film.  I called Epson about this and they couldn't help.

Sorry about the delay we had an Epson Perfection v700 photo worked great by was large.  We now take a picture and email then attach just like Stacey said.  works ok as long as the x-ray is a good shot.  we have issues if the image is to light then the doctors decides if he once a new image or uses the one we have.

We use the epson 1680 scanner it is a monster scanner would love to see smaller but good quality scanner options.  I have read that other offices take a picture of the xray on a view box and email it then attach it we have not tried that
