Hello,
We find adding patient medications to the EMR difficult if patients do not complete their patient registration forms online and include their medications. There is no way to search for medications and find them without scrolling through the entire list of medications in our data base. Is there a better way of doing this or is this something we can request be changed in an update?
Thanks!
Hello,
Version 9.0 and up allow you to type search in the EMR summary section of the chart, this makes it easier to add the Med History, Medications and Allergies without scrolling.
We just updated to 9.5 and adding medications to a patient's list of medications still requires that you scroll through the medications listed in our database. We are not using point of care, is this something that is easier done in point of care? Is there a trick to adding medications that we are not using?
You have to use the EMR Summary area and then go to medication , Allergies, medical history or Surgery, if you use the top row you will have to scroll still.
Thanks! This seems like it should have been obvious lol, we have been slow to transition to paperless and are getting used to the system. Do you use TruForm integration?
yes we use tru forms, as for the prescriptions into the EMR we alert the patient account with the pharmacy our doctor enters it himself. I know there is away staff can enter the information with the rx and put it on hold so the doctor can process it, but only if your doctor set it up that way.
